ABOUT Carbon

Where electrification connects and executes.

Built inside the market, by the operators who have shaped the companies, assets, and infrastructure driving it forward.

OUR THESIS

Energized Infrastructure is the largest capital deployment cycle of our lifetime.

Over the next two decades, hundreds of billions of dollars will move through the systems reshaping how America powers itself: EV charging, battery storage, solar, fleet electrification, microgrids, grid-edge assets, and the energy infrastructure behind AI.

As the electrification economy expands, fragmentation compounds.

Carbon was built to bridge that gap through connection and execution. We bring sector fluency, proprietary origination, and an operator-led platform to the markets where infrastructure, capital, technology, and talent need to move together.

Energized infrastructure at twilight

THE FOUNDING

Built from both sides of the market.

Two operators. Two vantage points. One firm. Raymond spent his career on the transaction side, originating and advising deals across energized infrastructure. Dustin spent his building and scaling the assets those deals are made of. Most firms offer one perspective. Carbon was built on both.

They kept seeing the same problem. Strong companies, real assets, active buyers, and capable operators all existed, but the paths between them stayed fragmented. Traditional advisors were too narrow. Consultants sat too far from execution. Channel relationships lacked context. Operators and investors needed more than introductions, they needed access, judgment, and a partner who had done the work.

Carbon was built to close that gap.

OPERATING PRINCIPLES

How we work.

Built by operators, not intermediaries.

We've built and run the assets we now transact. Buyers trust our read because we've made the same decisions they're making.

Off-market by default.

The most valuable transactions are never listed. We reach them through relationships, not databases.

Selectivity is the value.

We decline more engagements than we take. Taking every mandate destroys the credibility that makes the platform work.

Lifecycle, not transaction.

Close is the start of the next engagement. Recruitment, advisory, and follow-on deals compound over years.

Transparency before engagement.

Fees, conflicts, and reasoning are disclosed in the first conversation. Trust is an operating requirement, not a soft value.

One firm, every motion.

M&A, Advisory, and Market Access. One firm across the full lifecycle.

WHY NOW

A convergence underway.

Energized infrastructure isn't a single sector. It's the intersection of generational market transformations, each already reshaping capital allocation and deployment.

01

Mobility is electrifying.

Every vehicle, fleet, and depot is being rebuilt around electrons. The infrastructure required to support it is being built now, and most of it will change hands before the decade is over.

02

Power is constrained.

Grid strain is real. Interconnection queues now stretch 2+ years in major markets. Battery storage, solar, microgrids, and distributed energy are turning the grid into a tradable asset class. Capital that once flowed into oil and gas now flows into BESS and DERs.

03

Data is demanding energy.

Data centers and AI workloads are the most concentrated power demand in modern history. Every hyperscale facility needs onsite generation, storage, and grid connectivity.

These forces share infrastructure, capital flows, and counterparties. Carbon was built to operate across all of them, because in the energy transition they aren't separate sectors. They're one.

Contact Carbon

We represent sell-side mandates where we can credibly reach the right buyer universe off-market. We run buy-side searches where our network gives us proprietary origination. We decline engagements that don't fit either.
